Lydian Arrow is a three piece Indie band from East Los Angeles. Four band members Jose Plascencia (Guitar/Vocals), Carlos Rodriguez (Guitar), Erick Garcia Norberto (Bass), Aron Chavez (Drum) first started the band a while ago and they were actually called “Broken Arrow” before they became Lydian Arrow. This project has been a part of joses life since the eight grade. Him and his friend Daniel would always carry their acoustic guitars to play some tunes. Aron joined on drums when they started in high school. Unfortunately Aron didn’t have a drum set so the project had to be postponed for a while until their friend erick had a drum kit which eventually they all ended up jamming out. Jose had written some alternative rock tunes before starting the band, “habitually I wrote the skeletons of a lot of our songs, and my band always knew just what to do with them, and i'm very grateful to have such supportive friends as my band mates uwu”, says Jose. Around that time is when they just finished writing a new EP with their newest member Carlos, it was a mix of everyone writing.
They all began writing music as a jam band, they were all huge Beatle fans they also enjoyed playing Rock Band together. They began learning all of the songs from the game as well as learning a few Beatles songs. That's when jose brought up some songs he wrote. As time past they continued making music together. “As Lydian ArrowI feel we've begun to write music that we're all really interested in and it's exciting to see what's coming up”. Their music revolves around the way Jose views the world/his life and the way it shaped him into the person he is now .
Someone who’s helped them get shows were their friends Ear Ringers, they’re really grateful for their help. Their album release show was their best show they’ve had “We threw it in my backyard and had our friends in Ear Ringers, Archer Oh, Beach Clinic, Alt-Tab-Delete, and Prysm perform. It literally felt like home (cause it was).”
Lydian Arrow is the type of music you dance around your room while you scream to the lyrics. They have a pretty unique sound, it’s upbeat but the lyrics have deep meaning.
